He’s a European fashion royalty for a longish 50 years now, Karl Lagerfeld is the rare artist whose creative talents don’t seem to dry up in this age. You probably know that the Paris debut of his latest Chanel couture collection is earning rave reviews. What you might not know is that the Pony-tailed One is also in the eyewear business, proclaiming, we think rightfully, that, “dark glasses are like portable eye shadow and the world looks more beautiful through tinted glasses.”
The office erupted in a chorus of “ooohs” when we saw this sleek pair of frames with black and aubergine-tinted lenses. We warn you though: they’re only to be worn by the most fabulous person in the room. How do we know? Mr. Lagerfeld wears them himself.
